Competency Assessment Test for the Fitness Assistant Trainer Level

The Competency Assessment Test for the Fitness Assistant Trainer Level has been developed in accordance with the internal standards of the Swedish Academy of Sport Training (SAST). It aims to evaluate theoretical competencies across various fields of sports science. This online test provides a direct assessment of your theoretical knowledge acquired through practical experience and determines your proficiency level according to approved training standards.

The term “competency” refers to the combination of knowledge, skills, and experience required to perform training tasks efficiently and professionally. The theoretical competency test focuses on the essential elements of knowledge in the fields of sports and health sciences and covers key topics relevant to the targeted training level.

Importance of the Test

Test Methodology
All theoretical exams at the Swedish Academy of Sport Training are conducted online through the Academy’s platform. Questions are randomly selected from a question bank corresponding to the targeted level. The test is automatically and instantly graded, and the result is displayed immediately after completion.

Test Plan and Passing Criteria

1. Students can take the test immediately after registration.
2. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the exam.
3. The exam consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers.
4. The duration of the exam is 20 minutes.
5. Each student is allowed up to two attempts to achieve a passing score.

Graduation Certificate
After successfully passing the test, the student receives an accredited certificate confirming the achieved training level. The certificate is sent directly to the student’s email and is also stored in the student’s profile on the Academy’s platform.
